The following are commonly made mistakes by club secretaries (including
myself): 75 points per Lion, #8 on the Attendance at special events is for the
HOME club only. 50/50 raffles at regular meetings is not a club fundraiser (tail
twister fund, yes) 500 points for attending Zone meetings is for President,
Secretary and Membership Director only. All other Lions get 250 points Attending
Zone meetings other than your own is 50 points. Sight Foundation and Council of
Governors Meetings are 250 points not 500 points. On the Visitation contest, it
is 20 points per Lion per visit and 40 points per Lion per visit for over 50
miles round trip. Non-Lions do not receive visitations
If you do not have a visitation card, use anything handy (paper, sales slip,
brown bag)
One of DG Jeff’s contest changes is on the #6 Sight Services Projects/Donations
WV Sight 500 points per project, 1 point per $ donated and 200 points per Lion
working (that is the changed part) max 2 times per year.
Club members who doubt their clubs points in the monthly DG Contest should first
review the contest rules before they criticize their secretary’s job performance
or bring their complaint to me. (2 secretaries this year have said this, there
is probably more)
