Trees Planted: 2,528,999

2011-2012 International President Wing-Kun Tam is challenging Lions around the world to plant one million trees this year to demonstrate the strength of our global network. The map below provides an at-a-glance update on how close Lions from various parts of the world have come to reaching this goal so far.
DISTRICT 29L LIONS AND TREE PLANTING
District Governor Patty has set a goal of 1000 trees to be planted!! My goal as Environmental Chairman is 100% club participation.
Lion Phyllis has graciously agreed to plant a tree on-line and in the monthly newsletters until we reach our goal. As tree planting is reported, leaves will be added to the tree. With everyone's help, we will have a tree in full leaf soon!!

We are nearly at our goal of planting 1,000 trees in District. 29-L. Thank you to all who have participated to date. Several clubs have indicated their projects are planned for Spring and/or in conjunction with Arbor Day activities. We are anxious to receive the report of your club’s activity.
I want to remind all club presidents to let me know any updates or increase in the number of trees planted by your club. E-mail russflng@comcast.net or phone 304-387-1176.
I also want to remind all club secretaries to make sure you turn in the "Lions Service Activity Report" in your WMMR by May 1, 2012. This is a must if District Governor Patty can receive the “Believe” Award!!
