Dear DG Teams and Leaders of the World,

As mentioned in my last email to you, I have announced another Ginkgo challenge called the New Years Ginkgo Challenge.  Please review the important flyer with all the details.

I hope you will agree that if we can succeed in encouraging our existing clubs to grow in the next few months, we will be well on our way to a historic year and to bringing more hope to the millions who need our service.

With cordial regards,

Eberhard J. Wirfs, International President
Lions Clubs International

  What Is LCIF?

Lions Clubs International Foundation, LCIF, was formed in 1968
to “enable Lions to bring sight to the needlessly blind, relief to victims of
natural disasters, and assistance in a multitude of ways to the disabled,
youth, and the elderly”. It is Lions helping Lions serve others.
LCIF helps Lions International respond effectively to global
problems, enables Lions to help others in times of disaster, funds
projects too big for districts or clubs to do on their own,
responds to the local
needs of Lions and develops grantprograms that serve community needs.

LCIF is a highly efficient organization that was voted the
number one non governmental organization world wide by Global
Impact and the London Financial Times. All funding comes
through donations mostly from Lions. Every dollar given goes toward a
grant. All administrative costs are paid for by investments. Every dollar
donated is leveraged, usually with local matching funds, meaning a
contribution is worth substantially more than its face value.
We are asking every club to support LCIF with a donation this
year. Every dollar given will help Lions to serve someone
around the world, possibly in your community.
