Lion Julia Cooper of the Harrisville Lions Club,
ringing bells for the Salvation Army
during the holiday season.
Many Lions throughout the District participated in this worthy
project.

Western Monongalia Lions

Western Monongalia Lions are happy to announce the addition of
two new members, Sandy Porter and Nancy Toothman, who were
installed on January 8th by PDG Tracy Smith of the Barrackville
Lions Club.
A reception was held for them following the ceremony.

International President Wing-Kun Tam requests our assistance in
promoting the 34th Annual Lions Day with the United Nations (UN)
event to be held Friday, March 16, 2012 at the United Nations in
New York.
Highlights of the New York LDUN program include presentations
from President Tam, UN speakers and the unveiling of the 2011-12
Lions International Peace Poster Contest winner. A lunch with
invited ambassadors is available. Because seating is limited,
registration will be allotted on a first come, first serve
basis.

Ellie Windom of Ritchie County Middle School Art De-partment
received a donation from the Harrisville Lions Club, presented
by Lion Julia Cooper.
Ellie does an excellent job working with the students on the
Peace Poster project. She is the wife of Lion Scott Windom of
the Harrisville Lions Club.
